MOTION: REALIGNMENT OF THE PIOBAIREACHD COMPETITIVE REQUIREMENTS Friday, October 08, 2004
Over the past year the ACPBA Executive piloted the ANAPBA piobaireachd requirements. The games were given the new requirements suggested at the 2003 Annual General Meeting and requested to try them out for the next year.
This change was piloted in an attempt to realign Piobaireachd competitive requirements. The change was suggested and worked on by Bruce Gandy as the senior music advisor and the ACPBA Executive. The membership has been requested to test out the requirements over the 2004 season and give feedback to the ACPBA Executive upon completion of the season.
Recommendations:
The ACPBA Executive recommend that we proceed with fully realigning our Piobaireachd music requirements with the ANAPBA requirements. With the exception that the ACPBA will have Grade 5 and Grade 4 Piobaireachd contests and the music requirements include a Ground contest in Grade 5 to encourage a better competitive entry point. The requirements the ACPBA Executive have piloted and would like to implement are as follows:
