The Hector Festival and Festival of the Tartans have established the Atlantic Canada Quartet Piping Championships. The Hector Festival Quartet Piping Championship will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2005. The Festival of the Tartans Quartet Piping Championship will be held on Saturday August 20, 2005.

Both events will have cash prizes $100 per grade. The Overall Championship will be awarded from the best average of both events and the Overall Championship Awards and cash prizes will be presented at the Festival of the Tartans closing ceremonies.

Fees: per quartet $15.00. Deadline: Friday, July 29 for both events.

Participants must send entries to both events as not all entrants will be competing in both. Entries postmarked later than the deadline date will not be accepted.
