Piobaireachd Concert

The Piobaireachd Society of Antigonish will be hosting an
evening of Scottish instrumental and vocal music.
When: Saturday, October 21st, 2006
Time: 7:30 PM (Doors open at 7:00 PM)
Where: St. James United Church Hall
Church Street, Antigonish, Nova Scotia |
The concert will feature internationally renowned piper, teacher and
adjudicator, Bob Worrall, of Burlington, ON, as well as local Antigonish piper,
Andrea Boyd, who is currently making herself known on the international
competition circuit, the Antigonish Gaelic Choir under the direction of St. F.X.
Celtic Studies Professor Catriona Parsons, and Scottish Small Pipe player and
Celtic Major at St. F.X., Tiber Falzett and his ensemble. Admission to the
concert is $10 for adults, and $7 for students and seniors, payable at the door.
The proceeds will support the Piobaireachd Society's 2007 Medal Tunes
Piobaireachd Workshop with Mr. Worrall, which takes place at Immaculata Hall,
St. F.X. campus, on October 21st and 22nd.
