Youth - The Future of Piping and Drumming
The Atlantic Canada Pipe
Band Association is pleased to announce two workshops which will be held
at the Nova Scotia Community College, Truro Campus, September 17 and
October 29. These workshops are open to all youth ages 14- 25.
Participants should be playing pipes or drums for minimal one year to
benefit from course programs.
Both workshops will provide instruction in the areas of theory, tuning,
maintenance, technique, performance/competition standards and personal
performance. The first workshop is designed to introduce students to music
theory, instrument operation, maintenance and tuning the instrument. In
the October workshop, students will receive additional music theory and
instrument operation and also sessions relating to competition grade
standards, technique, execution, music expression and instrument control.
These workshops are designed to encourage and build your confidence for
performances and provide information in music selection, technique,
interpretation and expression in performance and in competition. Our
instructors are experts in field of music, whether as instructors, judges
or as competitors. They have been there, where you are now.
Please note classes will be limited to 15 to provide ideal learning
environment. Please register early. Upon receipt of your application you
will receive confirmation from the Workshop Coordinators.

workshop series application form
to
andyandbev@seasidehighspeed.com.
- Click Paypal.com
- Click SEND MONEY, then click Send Money Online.
- Enter the total amount (ex: 2 workshops - $70.00)
- Select Buying Something and click continue.
- The email address to use for your Paypal payment is
rmacdonald@acpba.ca.
- Enter your e-mail address (where the
payment receipt will be sent).
- Complete the requested information and send the payment
via
your chosen preferred method of payment.
